Ok, I don’t want to hear about congress being unable to muster the courage to do anything of import. Its obvious that Rep pete stark of alameda ca used a very poor choice of words in describing pres bushes war in iraq as sending American youth off to die for his amusement. But congresses reaction was both excessive and amusing, and in their motion to censure the errant congressman, their choice of words was even more egregious. The congress rose from its usual groveling posture up onto its ostentatious haunches and roared that starks conduct was- get this despicable. Please keep in mind that stark was describing pres bushes illegal and immoral war against the Iraqi people. Has congress ever called bush or cheneys conduct despicable? Not to my knowledge. It seems that words can be despicable but actions are not.

Next item: 2 weeks ago I reported on our slide into fascism. Today we have another example: article By Wendy M. Grossman in "The Register entitled US demands air passengers ask its permission to fly" -- - Under new rules proposed by the Transport Security Administration (TSA) (pdf), all airline passengers would need advance permission before flying into, through, or over the United States regardless of citizenship or the airline's national origin. Currently, the Advanced Passenger Information System, operated by the Customs and Border Patrol, requires airlines to forward a list of passenger information no later than 15 minutes before flights from the US take off (international flights bound for the US have until 15 minutes after take-off). Planes are diverted if a passenger on board is on the no-fly list. The new rules mean this information must be submitted 72 hours before departure. Only those given clearance will get a boarding pass. The TSA estimates that 90 to 93 per cent of all travel reservations are final by then. The proposed rules require the following information for each passenger: full name, sex, date of birth, and redress number (assigned to passengers who use the Travel Redress Inquiry Program because they have been mistakenly placed on the no-fly list), and known traveller number (once there is a programme in place for registering known travellers whose backgrounds have been checked). Non-travellers entering secure areas, such as parents escorting children, will also need clearance. The TSA held a public hearing in Washington DC on 20 September, which heard comments from both privacy advocates and airline industry representatives from Qantas, the Regional Airline Association, IATA, and the American Society of Travel Agents. The privacy advocates came from the American Civil Liberties Union and the Identity Project. All were negative. Ok, whats this all mean? If this rule is approved and im not sure just who grants this approval, you will need the govts permission to fly. Your papers please. It aint a rule yet, but the fascists in control of our nation are trying. Next item: well, our heroes the congressional dems caved in again. They had been threatening to hold up the slam duck nomination of judge Michael somebody or other until the white house released a stack full of documents pertaining to the firing of the federal prosecutors for not following our great leaders wishes. That would have resulted in a very public standoff and just might have actually forced the bush administration to follow the law but the dems couldn’t keep their resolve. Turns out the threat, like all the other threats by the democratic leadership, were mere sound bites. The white house, read dick cheney, told em to pound sand, and sure enuff, they caved. So the dems, who had their chance to force the while house into releasing some documents revealing how they really operate blew it once again. Leadership by the gutless.

Next item: ok kids. You want a classic definition of hypocrisy? We now give you sec of state condoleeza rice. this story is so cockeyed that I had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. Unfortunately I wasn’t. its real. Secretary of State condi rice was visiting Moscow and meeting with Russian activists. While there she managed to raise hypocrisy to a new art form. Believe it or not our dear sec of state fears that The Russian government under Vladimir Putin has amassed so much central authority that the power-grab may undermine Moscow's commitment to democracy. here is a quote from our sec of states own lips: "In any country, if you don't have countervailing institutions, the power of any one president is problematic for democratic development," Rice told reporters after meeting with human-rights activists. "I think there is too much concentration of power in the Kremlin. I have told the Russians that. Everybody has doubts about the full independence of the judiciary. There are clearly questions about the independence of the electronic media and there are, I think, questions about the strength of the Duma," said Rice, referring to the Russian parliament. Condi baby. Have you checked out your own govt lately? Is this chutzpah or what? this statement would be amusing if condi were a housewife. The fact that she is our sec of state makes her statements frightening beyond comprehension.

Next item : speaking of Vladimir putin: the neo cons running the us govt in our name may have finally met an insurmountable obstacle to their plans to bomb or invade iran. It aint the us congress, and it aint us citizen activists. Its Vladimir putin, leader of Russia, and one of the few people on earth the neo cons must respect. He recently visited iran and while there pledged to oppose any countries waging war on iran by all means at his disposal. Those are strong words. It looks like the sides are lining up on this issue eirily remininscent of the time just before world war I erupted. The lineup is interesting. On one side are the united states neocon, and Israel, and on the other side are the American people, and the rest of the world, including russia. The neocons don’t seem to care what the American people want, The rest of the world doesn’t really count for much, but Russia does. Even the neocons are probably not ready to go to war with Russia. Ok, peace activists, how many of you ever imagined you would be thanking the pres of Russia for keeping us out of a war? How times change.

Next item: ....Bravenewfilms.org sponsored a contest to help fox news with their new business news show by suggesting potential storie lines. The winning suggestion was: Should Returns gained from Political Bribes be Taxed as Income or Dividends? It goes without saying that the corporation giving the bribe will write it off as a normal business expense. I offer a further dynamite suggestion: should the congresscritters who take the bribes declare them as income, donations to their campaign fund, gifts from god, and then write off the taxes paid as a normal business expense? It is beginning to appear that bribing congresscritters is a normal business practice, so why shouldn’t briber and bribee both be able to write em off as the expenses of doing business with our esteemed congress? How else would anything get done?

Next item: burning man takes on blm. Edit this:A group of burner attorneys are mounting a grassroots project to challenge BLM citations that may have been issued WITHOUT probable

cause and/or where consent to search was NOT freely given. If you or anyone you know was issued a federal citation from a BLM Officer or BLM Ranger at Burning Man 2007 and you are interested in contesting the citation then read on. (Please note this only applies to BLM citations; not Pershing County arrests or citations for state law violations.)

it seems that The same story has been recounted from numerous participants, and if

the reports are true, then there seems to be a pattern. It goes something like this. Participant is stopped by BLM Rangers for no reason in particular, or for a very minor reason, and is then told that they have no choice but to allow a search. However, there may have been violations of the Fourth Amendment in these types of interaction. The problem is that in order to fight the fine, the participant would need to show up at a hearing in Reno, and possibly return later for a

trial. Since the cost of most BLM citations is $525 or less, it makes it easier to just pay the fine than to take days off work to travel to Reno. Also, $525 is cheaper than hiring an attorney. Accordingly, most participants simply pay the fine as the lesser of two evils.

Next item: we have some interesting news on the income tax front. This is from truthattack.org. It seems that some guy had the nerve to take the constitution seriously and paid his employees in real money instead of federal reserve notes. The govt of course sued and what is germane is that the govt lost in court. NEVADA JURY HANDS GOVERNMENT ITS HEAD LAS VEGAS, NV—Yep, we keep marching along on the legal front.  In Las Vegas after a four month trial, millions of tax dollars and taken dollars spent, the jury has refused to give the government even one single guilty verdict out of 189 accusations.  The Kahre case resulted in many not guilty verdicts, such as indicting Mr. Kahre’s mother for shuttling paperwork between offices, and the jury was hung on all the rest.            This is a major victory in what is an extremely important case, because the government’s position relied on the jury believing that gold and silver coin minted by the U. S. Treasury IS NOT money while FRNs worth nothing and printed by the Fed ARE money.  Mr. Kahre was paying his employees with silver and gold coin, which meant that a week’s pay that would normally amount to 450 FRNs would turn out to be $40 in silver or gold coin.  If an employee’s pay is $40 a week there is no withholding and if his annual "income" is a little over $2,000, he owes no tax return or taxes.  Beautiful!!  The IRS and the Fed, foist on their own petard!!  This case combines the tax issue and the phony money issue, which is appropriate, since it is no coincidence that the income tax and the Fed were created at the same time.  Congratulations and thanks go out to the defense team and, most of all, Mr. Kahre and all the others who put all on the line to stand up for the rule of law.

Next item: more geo orwell double speak out of our nations capital: hate is love, war is peace and cooked food is raw. USDA SAYS ALMONDS LABELED AS 'RAW' CAN ACTUALLY BE PASTEURIZED Under pressure from industrial agriculture lobbyists, the USDA has quietly approved a new regulation that has banned the distribution of raw almonds, while putting many family farmers out of business. The rule requires pasteurization of almonds, including organic, yet allows those same almonds to continue to be labeled as "raw". Nutritionists point out that raw, organic almonds are far superior, in terms of nutrition, than pasteurized almonds. One of the FDA-recommended pasteurization methods requires the use of propylene oxide, which is classified as a "possible human carcinogen" by the International Agency for Research on Cancer and is banned in Canada, Mexico, and the European Union. Organic and family-scale almond farmers are protesting the proposed rule, saying it will effectively put them out of business, since the minimum price for the pasteurization equipment is $500,000.
The USDA claims pasteurization is necessary, since there have been two food contamination incidents with raw almonds since 2001. But both of these incidents, in fact, were the result of blatant mismanagement on large industrial-scale almond farms. Take action now to demand that the USDA re-open this proposed rule to public comments:

Next item: Robt abely in his spotlite on freedom commentary makes a cogent point ive been aluding to for months. None of the major potential nominees for president has stated that if elected they will return to the American people the constutional protections bush cheney et al have taken from us. Not a mention of the patriot act, posse comitus, military commissions act, govt approved torture, etc. And no major media has pointed this out. So exactly what difference is there between the suposidly two parties? Hillery Clinton, the obvious choice of the powers that be, once elected, will have all the the power to be just as much a dictator as dick cheney and geo bush. And by her silence, one can only conclude she wants it that way.
