one has to admire the ingenuity of American thieves. It seems they have created a scam for stealing your atm card. This info comes from a power point presentation given to police and was sent to a listener by a friend who is a detective for the chula vista police dept so it certainly looks genuine to me. I wont go into details here, but if you insert your atm card into an atm machine and it wont return your card, look carefully for a strip of black xray film glued to the inside of the slot, top and bottom. This is a trap that has captured your card. Pull out the trap with your card in it, and report it to the bank. Be cautious as the thief may be lurking nearby to retrieve your card once you leave the atm machine. The other part of the scam is that he will appear as the next customer in line and offer to help you retrieve your card. In doing so, he will learn your pin # and can then steal your money using your card and pin #. Fun and games from Americas thieves.
