Next item: I used to believe that geo bush made no decisions on his own and simply took orders from dick cheney and karl rove. But his latest supreme court nominee is so bizarre, so inappropriate, that its simply too weird to have come from anyone with any sense whatsoever. Hariett miers is a political lacky with no experience whatsoever as a judge. Did you get that? She has never been a judge on any level, she has never argued an important case in any court. She has never even listened to an important case being argued in any court. Her appointment as even a low level federal judge would be inappropriate. To nominate her to serve on the nations highest court is beyond absurd. So why did he do it? Is he drinking again? Wait a minute. There is a possible explanation for nominating hariett Miers, to the supreme court. The only explanation that makes sense to me is that her nomination is sure to raise a firestorm of criticism that could serve to deflect attention from more important matters. Such as the embarrassing revelations that it was dick cheneys spokesperson lewis scooter libby who outed cia agent Valerie plame, and that dick cheney was implicated in the decision to out her. That’s a felony folks. It makes cheney subject to impeachment. That felony charge is now at the vice presidents door and could lead to king geo himself. If so, it would serve bush and cheney to divert attention from this little felony, and an obviously absurd nomination as supreme court justice just might send the dogs off in a different direction. It’s a classic political technique. Divert attention from the really nasty stuff to something titillating but essentially harmless. Remember that hullabaloo over president bill and monica Lewinski? Did he? Did she? Did they? You don’t say. And How bout that blue dress? Juicy stuff that. It kept the mainstream media occupying tv minded Americans for months, and conveniently diverted attention from a whole host of more serious charges against Clinton, not the least of which was the dem nat committee having received large campaign contributions just prior to Clintons election from people linked to the communist Chinese govt, which was followed by the amazingly coincidental fondness of his administration for giving our military secretes to that same Chinese govt. that’s treason folks, but we never got around to charging Clinton for that, because the monica too-do diverted our attention. I think that Prostitution is incorrectly identified as the worlds oldest profession.. I suspect that the worlds oldest profession is political chicanery. Prostitution is a distant second, and for the record, happens to be a far more noble endeavor. At least the prostitutes clients gain some pleasure as they get screwed. Ok, Back to current events and the clowns running our govt. I suspect that the nomination of presidential legal advisor harriett miers, a person blatantly unqualified for serving on our nations highest court, right on the heels of an almost as unqualified selection for chief justice, can only be seen as classic political diversion, and the brilliant tactics of good ole karl rove. If that not be the case, one can only assume that king geo is drinking again.

That was written days ago. I briefly perused various mainstream news mon,and tues.. Did you read or watch or listen to the news mon or tues, or this morning? was there any mention of scooter libby/ the aid to vp dick cheney outing cia agent Valerie plame? Any mention that tricky dick cheney might have been in the loop? Any mention that king geo might also have been in the loop? Answer: nope. That’s old news. We can t be bothered by old news. The new news occupying corporate media is king georges latest choice for supreme court and all the various politicians and pundits pontificating over who she is and how she might vote. Its kind of sad, as it doesn’t really matter what anyone thinks. What king geo wants king geo gets. There is no effective opposition.. And the scandal of libby and probably cheney once again lying to congress and the American people is swept under the rug. Old news. Its not important. What’s important is what we tell you is important. If we don’t report it, don’t worry about it. Have another beer and let us take care of your country.

The bottom line is, that with republicans in the white house and controlling both house and senate, there is no opposition. They do what they want while the democrats pretend to oppose. It’s a charade folks. Geo bush could propose a law that the moon is made of green cheese, and after a bit of foolish posturing by the very loyal opposition, the law would pass. There is no opposition. It’s a rotten system, and its being exposed right before our eyes. Welcome to pseudo democracy, American style.

One final sour look at our nation: one significant result of the devastation in new Orleans is that the bush cabal is using it as an excuse to ask for the cancellation of the posse comitatus act, so the American military can be used to police American citizens. The only thing standing it the way of this next step towards a full on police state is the posse comitatus act. Well travis t hipp this morn mentioned that in king geo’s latest speech he seemingly went off on a tangent and mentioned that if the asian bird flu affects America badly enuff we might need our military to act as law enforcement. I suspect that that was no tangent. Rather, it was the major purpose of the speech. And so the American people are being offered yet another excuse for surrendering their protections of the posse comitatus act and accepting the creation of the apparatus of a police state. Does anyone see a pattern here? If The problem is a Natural disaster, The solution is to allow the military to police us. If The problem is a health menace, The solution is the same. Empower the military. Wake up folks. The coming police state is being spoken of openly. George bush is asking for it, at every opportunity, justifying its creation by every disaster that befalls us, may befall us, or is rumored to possibly befall us. The police state is being created while America sleeps. May I see your papers? Now.
