Well now. King george has spoken and things are getting
decidedly more interesting. I didn’t actually listen to his
latest speech. My gag reflex is much too strong for me to
control. But a friend who is more masochistic than I, did listen
and told me that king georges solution to future natural
disasters was-guess what? Beefed up civilian emergency response
teams? Nope. Stockpiling food, water, blankets, medical
supplies, electrical generators? Nope. Strengthening Americas
vulnerable infrastructure, such as levees, highways, emergency
care facilities? Get out of here with that weak crap. He wants
to loosen the fetters on the military, to allow them to act
against civilians, which they are presently forbidden to do by
the us constitution and posse comitus act. All this in order to
prevent looting and protect private property. You got that?
His priorities are crystal clear. People don’t matter.
Protecting Private property comes first. And keeping the public
order. You haf papers? You vill show me your papers- now.
Better start practicing your german folks. The next step towards
a fascist police state is right around the corner.
The truly suspicious might question this latest sequence of
events. It sure smacks of that old formula of manufacturing a
problem then creating a solution to your problem that just
conveniently furthers your true agenda. First we have a natural
disaster. A hurricane hits the gulf coast. God’s work, right?
Except it’s the strongest hurricane that ever hit the American
mainland. And there is that bothersome rumor about the Haarp
project up in Alaska having as one if its primary functions the
ability to modify and alter weather patterns in targeted areas.
Was hurricane Katrina altered by the harp project, either in
direction or force? I don’t want to go that far. You can if
you want. Then there are the curious rumors that the new Orleans
levees had a bit of help in breaking. Again, that’s pretty far
out speculation. Don’t know if I want to go there either. But
isn’t it a bit curious how prepared the bush cabal was to put
their unique and self serving spin on the whole mess? Problem:
Disaster in new Orleans? Solution? We need to surrender more of
our rights and liberties by allowing the military more power
over us. Forget posse comitus, the bill of rights and the us
constitution. We need to be safe from our own suddenly starving,
thirsty, and homeless poor people. And oh yeah, just in case you
care, most of them are black.
A brief look at recent history: A federal building was bombed
in oak city and the bush crowd had fascist liberty restricting
legislation all ready for the signing. The world trade towers
are destroyed and the bush cabal has the usa patriot act all
ready for the signing. Now god visits new Orleans and the bush
cabal has no food, no water, no blankets, no portable shelters,
no medical supplies, no emergency electrical generators, and no
plans to stockpile any. But they do have plans for
detention-excuse me refugee camps, and they now want to unleash
the us military from their constitutional fetters so the
military can act in future disasters. But its for our own good,
so we should be happy. You do understand that don’t you? So
shut up and be happy.
Whats wrong with this picture? Well for starters, the basic
premise that the us military is at all prepared to help
civilians in need. Anyone of you ever served in the military/
how much training did you get in helping citizens during a
disaster? Answer: zero. You were trained to kill, or be a part
of a killing machine. That’s what the military is, a killing
machine. Anyone ever hear of iraq? Isn’t our military doing a
splendid job over there, winning the hearts and minds of Iraqis
with their skills at interacting with frightened civilians while
rebuilding their infrastructure? For those of you who haven’t
noticed, our military is trained to kill people, not help them.
Both in iraq and new Orleans our military controls crowds by
firing weapons, sometimes first over their heads, and if that
doesn’t work, then directly at them. If our young kids on the
front line are untrained or frightened, plan a goes out the
window and they begin by firing directly at the crowd. In
case you haven’t noticed, that’s not perceived by the people
being shot at as terribly helpful to their situation. It does
protect private property, in the short run at least. Problem
being, after you have pissed off the locals sufficiently, they
rebel, fight back byn the means at their disposal, and then the
military response is simple and brutal: destroy the area from a
safe distance with artillery and bombs. That appears to
contradict the priority of protecting private property until you
ask two embarrassing questions: 1- whose private property? And
2- who gets paid the lucrative contracts to rebuild what our
military has just destroyed? And if you then factor in the
recent supreme court decision that govt can now confiscate
private property in order to turn it over to land developers,
with the municipal govt gaining increased taxes from the
increased value and revenue of the properties, well now, maybe
the disaster in new Orleans has a happy ending, if you are a
wealthy land developer who’s goal is to become even more
wealthy. Urban renewal, courtesy of ma nature, soon with help
from the us military. Nazi germany came about in exactly this
same fashion, one step at a time. Every thing the Nazis did was
legal. They passed a law, they then followed that law. They
passed another law, they then followed that law. Notice any
parallels? Notice your rights and liberties disappearing, each
step the logical solution to a perceived and perhaps
manufactured problem? Wake up America. Its happening here.
Now, im not saying there is a conspiracy here. Heavens no. im
just watching whats unfolding before our eyes. If its not a
plan, why is the bush crowd seemingly so unprepared to react to
every emergency but always seem to have legislation prepared to
purportedly help us thru the next emergency. Was it ben franklin
who warned us that those who are willing to give up liberty for
promised security deserve and will obtain neither?
If king george were at all interested in preparing America to
deal with natural disaster or terrorist attacks he would be
creating civilian response teams and stockpiling emergency
materials. Instead, he proposes unleashing the military against
us citizens. Yeah george.
Next item: heard rumor last nite. Guess who is in charge of
allocating the disaster relief for hurricane Katrina. Can you
say karl rove? Geo bush can, and according to unsubstantiated
report, he has. Small local businesses have already been locked
out of the bidding process. This one is for the big boys. Best
buy your Halliburton , kbr, and Bechtel stocks quickly. Their
value is sure to go up soon. Isn’t American capitalism
wonderful? Their motto should be "we capitalize on your
misfortune"
