There will probably be more of this as attempts are made to discredit anything we might say. So, he screwed up by not authenticating the article before web posting it, my listener screwed up by not authenticating it before sending it to me, and I screwed up by accepting it as factual. Meanwhile, some fellow Texans are busy trying to disrupt the protest, making a mockery of why the kid died by desecrating our remaining rights to protest our govt. im not sure how its pronounced in texas but in the rest of the world its pronounced "democracy". Then we have karl rove and his minions lying their collective asses off concerning his vindictive outing of ambassador wilsons wife, while sympathetic journalists try to justify the outing by diverting attention to Valerie plame, offering the magnificent excuse that "well she wasn’t really an important cia agent anyway". When in doubt, blame the victim.Congress is busy passing any bill it is bribed to vote for. So we now have caftan, And a whole series of expensive and foolish pork barrel projects wasting money all over our economically struggling nation. Meanwhile we are engaged in a whole series of wars to benefit our armorments industries and petroleum companies. Have I left anything out? Of course I have. The list is endless. America was once a paragon of democracy. It is now a parody of democracy. We are still free to protest. Unfortunately, the govt claiming to represent us is equally free to ignore us. And if you have not noticed, our elected representatives largely ignore us as they line up at the lobbyist’s trough. If you were in a space ship looking down on America today you would probably be wondering if the marx bros were running the country. The united states of incoherent chaos. .and having said all of that, I want to remind listeners that this is still a great place to live, especially if you can live under the radar, outside of the system. Only problem being that there is no guarantee we can continue to do so. As ive often said, how did germans feel during the 1930’s, as the Nazis passed law after law, and then slowing began enforcing their onerous laws? I sincerely hope I am being a paranoid alarmist. But just because you and I wish that to be the case, that doesn’t mean that it is.
