please remember that. Welcome to kvmr broadcasting from the Nevada co fair. We may have few listeners who have different opinions from those expressed during the next hour. So please keep in mind that any comments heard on this show represent my own, and not necessarily the opinions of kvmr management staff or contributors. Here we go: yesterday was the anniversary of america’s atom bombing of Nagasaki. One can argue the merits of dropping the first Atom bomb on Hiroshima. But to allow the govt of japan only 2 days to absorb and react to that unique event before destroying Nagasaki cannot be justified. Sorry folks, dropping that 2nd bomb was a war crime pure and simple. We destroyed Nagasaki for the same reason a dog licks its genitals, because we could. Lets go back to aug 1945. the Japanese are clearly not only losing the war, but their sacred homeland is about to be invaded and conquered. Tokyo is being bombed day and nite. There is complete chaos in Japanese society and the govt. Under these circumstances, is it reasonable to allow the Japanese govt only 2 days to absorb the reality of a weapon hear to fore undreamed of, and react in any meaningful way? I say 2 days is an absurdly short period of time to expect any govt to react to anything. What was the harm in waiting a week? Notifying the Japanese that if they did not surrender within the week, we would drop more such weapons? Why wait only 2 days? , could the American govt of today, Under the best of circumstances, with computers and email that they didn’t have back then, do anything of significance? We destroyed Nagasaki because we had another bomb so why not use it? They’re only gooks after all. Wernt we also at war with germany? Why didn’t we use one of our a bombs on berlin?? Because American industrialists were heavily invested in their counterparts in german industry, and we wanted german industry intact when we took over its govt. Our industrialists had no such ties with Japanese industrialists. Just as in iraq today, Its about money. In the final analysis, it always is.

Next item: well, after millions of Americans went out into the streets in protest, the govt claiming to represent us still invaded iraq. One of our local kids just died over there. Why? Well we now have their oil. Sort of. At least no one else has their oil. Including them. Gas prices in iraq are higher than in history. And have you noticed how local gas prices have gone down? You haven’t? maybe that’s because they haven’t. in fact petroleum prices are skyrocketing. Is this logical? Of course not. But with 2 oil men running our govt, who expects logic. Try this on for size: diesel fuel costs more than gasoline. Why ? because there is less demand? Nope. Every large truck on the highway as well as most municipal busses run on diesel. Home heating fuel is diesel. Jet airplane fuel is a form of diesel. There is plenty of demand for diesel. Ok, how about because diesel costs more to refine? Nope Again. In the refinement process you get diesel first. You have to refine it further to get gasoline. So why does diesel cost more than gasoline? And why, since we sent our kids over to iraq so we could take over iraqs oil, are we paying more than ever for both diesel and gas? Because we have 2 oil men heading the govt pretending to represent we the people. That’s why. Adam strain, your death at age 20 would be sad under any circumstances. It is tragic indeed that you died in a war based on lies, for causes that benefit neither the Iraqi nor the American people. The quagmire in iraq benefits only giant corporations and the oil industry. while we and the Iraqis lose our loved ones. Bring the troops home george. You chickened out of the Vietnam war. If you want Iraqi oil so bad, go fight this one yourself. You, cheney, condi, and rummy grab some rifles and go fight this one yourselves. Keep our kids out safe at home while you plunder the world.

Next item: lets talk about rumors on the web. A listener sent in a fascinating article claiming that a few weeks ago, july 18, to be exact, 8 british agents were caught trying to blow up the Chicago subway system, with 4 being killed in a firefight, the other 4 arrested. I asked the sender to try to authenticate the story, and with due diligence he came up with not a confirmation but a rebuttal. It now seems that a package was left untended in the Chicago subway on that date and that part of the system was indeed shut down for about 55 minutes until the package was disposed of. This incident led to the seemingly wild story. Tom flocco.com, jeff rense.com, a guy named tom henneghan, and the ever popular Sherman skolnick were all involved in spreading this story. Was it/is it true. Seems not. Great story, but seemingly just that, a story. Such is life on the internet.

Next item: I often wonder if what I read on air is helpful or simply depressing. Here is one listeners response. Thanks for continuing with your show. I find it the opposite of 'depressing'. The more you know, the more powerful you are. That is a natural law, isn't it? And it's not as if there is any option. People can still think that it doesn't affect them personally and directly, that they have an opinion to focus on "other things". This really is illusion because everything that we depend on - freedom to speak and think and move and eat and drink and make and spend money, etc. etc. are all going to be directly impacted unless we pull the plug on these people who have THEIR agenda in full gear. WE have to work ours too. Anyway, I can never get enough information if it is real. I am very selective about where I get my information. I listen to many different sources and I filter out their bias, but I know that unless we uproot the source of this tyrannical power, it will literally take everything away that we hold to be precious - including our lives. That's MY commentary for today!

The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 4. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 5.
